TRAINING/EQUIPMENT Free training is offered to residents in the use of video cameras and program production. BASIC PORTABLE PRODUCTION A 3-session class (9 hours total) provides an introduction to the camcorder, microphones, and accessories while teaching basic video and audio techniques. Tips in planning and production are also provided. EDITING Gain editing skills through hands-on training in the use of the studio's edit systems. INTERMEDIATE/STUDIO PRODUCTION After mastering the basics of taping and editing, learn all aspects of working with a studio production crew. EQUIPMENT Video cameras and accessories are available for free loan following completion of the basic introductory class. A signed Equipment Checkout Agreement is required of all borrowers. The agreement states that equipment can be used only for the purpose of producing a program for JATV 12 telecast, and the user accepts full financial responsibility for damage, loss, or theft of equipment while in their possession.
