JATV channel 12 is the City of Janesville public access television station broadcasting on Charter Communication's cable system. The mission of Janesville Community Access Television is to make available to residents a facility, equipment, training, and support for the production of quality, non-commercial programs. The purpose of the channel is to provide informational, educational, and entertaining local programs that reflect the community and the area. The Hedberg Public Library operates the station under contract with the City of Janesville. Additional funding support comes from grants, donations, and program sponsorship. Non-profit organizations and individuals can provide programs that meet the station's Rules for Use. Copies of the rules are available at the station and must be signed by all JATV program producers. The station is located on the lower level of the Hedberg Public Library in the Administrative office area. Hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Evening and weekend hours are by appointment. 316 S.
